Корпусные блоки гигантских кораблей при сборке совмещаются с помощью самых современных промышленных теодолитов и тахеометров – лазерных станций, особо сложные элементы конических зубчатых передач со спирально-цевочным зацеплением, которые применяются в системе обеспечения движения корабля, обязательно и тщательно контролируются с помощью  высокоточных координатно-измерительных машин (КИМ).
